Today our #FlashbackFriday is Elizabeth Yates. Elizabeth is 17 years old and coached by Tasmin Maher
Elizabeth: “I started riding at Glover when I was 8 in 2012. I started riding after I attended a friend’s pony birthday party and fell in love with these special animals. My first lessons at Glover were with Geeta on Ms Muffit, who taught me how to sit a buck. I rode many of the school favourites Koda, Merlot, Patches and Nimbo before I started to half bait Sky Blu. In 2014 I got my very special boy Li-Juan Mafeking, who I still own and ride. One of the biggest lessons riding has taught me is to be brave and to push yourself beyond your limits, you might be surprised by what you can do. My riding goal is to be a Grand Prix dressage rider who can also jump 1m. My favourite thing to do at the yard is to spend time with my horse, whether its riding, grooming or playing pony games.”
We are so proud of Elizabeth and Mafeking who are currently one of the top Junior Elementary Dressage riders on the rankings at the moment. We know you will continue go from strength to strength.
