Facilities, activities and lessons

A magnificent property with exceptional facilities, professionally run and managed to the highest of standards. We incorporate something for all horse lovers ranging from beginners, just starting out, to highly competitive sports persons.

Jumping Arena, A:
New professional show jumping arena (70x40) for our aspiring competitive riders.

Jumping Arena B:
65m x 30m combination sand and PVC for technical training.

Jumping Arena C:
Magnificent large grass Derby arena including Bank, Dyke, Water jump, Wall and Step. 

Lunge Arena A:
20 metre for lunging horses (PVC, rubber, and top-quality sand for good going and safety).

Lunge Arena B:
Grass 22m arena – lunge lessons and for the young riders starting out.

Dressage Arena:
20 x 60m (PVC, rubber, and top-quality sand).

Training track A:
800 metre training track, whether you're ready for a good gallop, or a lazy hack and chat with your mates.

Training track B:
2km grass training track with gentle slopes.

Cross country track:
Imagine you are William Fox-Pitt cantering over our various cross country jumps, ditches, bank steps, and meandering through our mini forest with a good gallop up the hill.

Ups and Downs Play arena:
Go have fun with your horse, up the bank, through the new constructed ‘dam’ under the trees – play and enjoy! Great for working hunter and working riding.

Out rides:
Super River crossing out rides
- This is where we do our mini hunt, weekend breakfast rides, gallop track and fitness training.  A good two hour out ride can be enjoyed by all.

Endurance Fun Days:
2km to 10km ride on a fantastic track through our properties. Enjoyed by beginner and experienced riders alike.  

Home Shows:
Jumping, Derby, Dressage, Eventing, Performance Riding, Working Riding, Show Hunter, ‘RideAthons’, you name it, we do it. Providing fantastic fun for all!  Many of our shows have graded judges for the ultimate training result.

Pony camps:
Our young and non-competitive riders are fully catered for by our creative, fun-filled, and educational pony camps held during the year.

Rider’s camp (aka boot camp):
For our competitive riders and ‘up-and-coming’ riders - advanced training camps are held during the year to prepare the riders in various disciplines as well as education in natural horsemanship, injuries, unsoundness, clicker training, horse box training amongst many other relevant ‘horsemanship’ skills. 

Adult camps:
For all our adult riders irrespective of the level of riding. Time to let your hair down and have an absolute ball with your horse, a drink (or few), and your fellow adult riders.

We have a full support team for inter-school participation with all the logistics/trucking/turn out and instructor assistance taken care of for our riders. We do all the core league disciplines - jumping, dressage, eventing, showing, equitation, Prix Caprelli and handy hunter. 

Showing and Breed shows:
We present at all the breed shows with our showing riders as follows:

  • National specific breed championships held once a year i.e., Appaloosa nationals held in Parys in October.
  • Autumn Gold cup: All breeds held at Inanda Country Base
  • Horse of The Year: All breeds held in February at Kyalami Equestrian Centre.

Disciplines covered by our 7 instructors:

  • Showing (show riding, working riding, working hunter):  Novice to open level.
  • Dressage:  Prelim to Elementary.
  • Jumping:  Beginner to open (1.30 plus)
  • Equitation: All levels
  • Eventing: Up to 85cm
  • Prix Caprelli:  All levels
  • Handy Hunter:  All levels
